Remote — Torrent Manager

Policy / App and website

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 4, 2026

Remote is an open source Android torrent manager created by Jorge Galat. This page explains how the app handles data.

Summary

The app is a client for your own Transmission, qBittorrent, Jackett, and Prowlarr services. It does not require a Remote account or use an app-owned torrent-management backend.

Data Collected by the App

The app itself does not collect personal data on remote.jg.ar servers. Connection details and preferences you enter in the app are stored on your device to make the app work.

How Network Data Flows

When you use the app, it communicates directly with the server and indexer addresses you configure. Credentials, search requests, and torrent-management requests are sent to those services, not to an app-owned cloud service. The optional local engine stores torrent data in app-managed device storage.

Third-Party Services

App distribution and platform-level services may process technical data according to their own privacy policies. These services may include:

Children's Privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

External Links

The app and this website may link to external sites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party sites.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated over time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
